Dr. Richard Moss has formally filed to run for the Republican Nomination for State Representative in Indiana’s 63rd District with the Indiana Secretary of State’s Office.

Jasper, Indiana — Dr. Richard M. Moss, MD, of Jasper, Indiana, has announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for State Representative in District 63, running on a bold “Indiana First” platform. Richard Moss has already built a strong foundation of grassroots support who want to send a proven conservative fighter to Indianapolis.

“I’m running because too many politicians have put global and special interests ahead of Hoosiers,” said Moss. “This campaign is about protecting what belongs to the people of Indiana.”

Moss supports core conservative principles including balanced budgets, low taxes, cutting burdensome regulations, and reducing the size and scope of government. But, Moss says, the stakes go beyond traditional policy.

“Indiana’s land, institutions, and jobs are strategic assets,” Moss said. “They should never be controlled or exploited by foreign interests.”

Moss is calling for a ban on foreign ownership of Indiana land, warning of national security risks—especially with critical military infrastructure such as Naval Support Activity (NSA) Crane located in the district. “We will not allow China, Qatar, or any foreign power to buy up land in our state—period.”

On education, Moss believes Indiana’s public universities must prioritize American students. “Our education system is not a global commodity. It is a strategic asset that should serve our citizens first.”

On jobs, Moss is proposing that employment opportunities in Indiana be reserved for American workers, with strict penalties for employers who attempt to bypass the law. “Cheap labor is not cheap—it drives down wages and undermines working families. Many such employees also exploit our welfare programs including Medicaid and Food Stamps, thus driving up costs for taxpayers.”

Moss also emphasized rebuilding a strong civil society rooted in faith, family, and community. “When those foundations are strong, we don’t need an overreaching government to fill in the gaps.”

Finally, Moss pledged to oppose any return to COVID-era shutdowns, mandates, and school closures. “We will not shut down our economy or sacrifice our children’s future again.”

“I believe in a secure, self-reliant Indiana that puts its people first,” Moss said. “That is what ‘Indiana First’ means.”
